SENIOR DIRECTOR OF ENRICHMENT, ARTS AND CULTURE

POSITION TITLE: Senior Director of Enrichment, Arts and Culture FLSA: Salary/Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Adult Family Arts & Culture PAY RANGE: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reports to the CEO ADDITIONAL: 40 hours/week, On-site

The Director of Jewish Life and Learning is responsible for oversight and strategy related to Jewish journeys, family, adult, and arts and culture programming and engagement. This position focuses on mission driven programs related to Jewish journeys and the agency’s Jewish identity. The establishment of close working relationships between multiple departments is critical to the success of this position.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and support their team in prioritizing their day-to-day.
Track record of successfully mentoring and managing staff.
Experienced in event planning.
Exhibit a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Willing to work weekends as well as indoors and outdoors.
Be invested in the overall success of the agency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Align the strategic direction for the department with the mission, vision, and values of the JCC.
Provide leadership and supervision of the JCC's adult, family, art and culture, and Judaic team.
Work in conjunction with key staff to continue existing partnerships and collaborations with community organizations as well as to expand and develop new relationships and collaborations with both Jewish and non-Jewish organizations.
Oversee grant reporting functions as it relates to program focus areas.
Supervise and administer the agency’s Esstman Fund Scholarship distributions.
Develop and lead active and engaged committees relevant to the Department.
Attend Board and Executive Committee meetings as needed.
Partner with the Marketing Director to coordinate marketing efforts related to relevant program areas.
Develop comprehensive plans related to agency outreach, communication and engagement in connection with key program areas.
Evaluate the variety and mix of programs offered by the organization directly and in the community to promote and create opportunities that are strategically aligned with the interests of the JCC's current and potential audience.
Represent the agency at relevant community events.
Support the team in visioning, planning and implementing events related to key program areas, including but not limited to, Jewish Journey family events, annual Jewish Film Festival, Author Series, and Artistic Journeys.
Manage program budgets.
Establish and/or refine processes to evaluate programs, both formally and informally.
Collaborate with the CEO to identify potential funding partners to support Older Adult, Family, Arts and Culture and Judaic programs and services.
Work with the JCC team to generate opportunities to reignite or strengthen connections with local Jewish adults through targeted marketing, collaborative programming and/or special events.
All other assignments as deemed appropriate by the CEO.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Regularly required to use a computer, printer, and telephone.
Occasionally required to be in close proximity to others.
Regularly required to work indoors and outdoors.
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years’ management and supervisory experience.
5+ years' nonprofit or similar experience.
Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
Very familiar with the local Jewish community and culture, or have previously worked at a JCC or similar organization.
Experienced in event planning including the use of audio-visual equipment.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
